Re:Goodbye to Buell 2 Years, 7 Months ago
Just when Buell wised up & tried to stray from Sportster engines (the newest 1125R series had Rotax engines). They were on the road to becoming respectable sport bikes. I had a good friend who just bought a Ulysses XB12XT. I've ridden a Firebolt & Blast & although the blast sucked a** the Firebolt was great! The 1200 engine was it's only drawback. This is my friend's new Ulysses:

I read that alot of ex-HD folks have gone to the new Indian factory this past year. Hope that company makes it but their bikes are way out of my $$$ range.

Too bad. I tried out a Buell last summer. Interesting bike, and I liked what they were doing.

Didn't realize they went under..... I guess they were too selective in the market...

Funny, but I really started to notice them on the road just this year. Good luck getting parts cheap (as cheap as cheap gets...) now if you have one.

Very Sad, We are losing too many American businesses, this July Harley Davidson Buell here locally closed up there new in 2006 38000 sq ft dealership. As I travel around my hometown here there is an awful lot of old businesses here that arent surviving the economy situation. Im in business here myself and the cost of doing business has went up big time and we have had to cut prices to get work and its tough when you really werent making a lot to start with.
