I have a 2004, and I honestly only give it a full wash 2 or 3 times a year, and I have no problems with the chrome or the paint...

Then again, mine has always been a "desert bike" in that it's lived its entire life in Arizona & New Mexico, neither of which is known for it's humidity (today's max humidity is 19%). Also, no salty sea air anywhere near here...

I never found the chrome to be too bad. I had some Cobra aftermarket stuff that the chrome disappointed me though.

No problem here. I live in a faily humid region but not by the sea.

I have only had a problem with the spokes discoloring.

I have an '04 as well and live a mile from the beach. Even though she lives in the garage, she gets a bath at least once a month because of the salt air. No chrome or paint issues here....

I bought a Yami big bar in the summer and by the next spring it had begun to pit. I have to keep the Yami passenger floor boards very clean or they rust... and I bought the expensive ones.

The dealer said he would make it right on my next purchase, but I missed the warranty on the big bars; I now understand it is a year on those bars - which would have covered me.

I noticed my forks had the white cloudy blotches all of a sudden...noticed it after a four hour ride in 92 degree heat and high humidity...i tried never dull and it didn't help...the guy at the store where i got the never dull said it was pitting...i didn't know what that was at first...i wonder if there is any fix for this...

I've had my Roadie 3 years now...... never had an issue with the chrome finish on ANY part of the bike. Cleans right up, shines like a new penny.
