Crazyron1369 wrote That's nice, but how do you get the bike up on it?
Because it's open on one side you can slide it in on the opposite side of the jack and let the bike down on it. It's adjustable (to a degree) also.

I'm thinking the first one is a tad too tall to slide under at the minimum height (5.5 inches)
The second one is alot like the yellow Sears model. . .but cheaper!
Good Luck

I hae the red one from Sears. Works just fine. The reason I have it is I bought it from a guy for $35.00, was used once. Couldn't pass it up.

The second one looks like a craftsman...I bought mine from sears for 99.00. Works well. Note to guys that have lowered your Roadies. You need to drive onto a 2" X 6 " both front and rear tire to get the jack underneath. Kai

I have used the yellow sears-type jacks but felt them too unstable with a really heavy bike for my taste. A few years ago I switched to this kind and like it better for general maint. work. Don't think you could get the wheels off though. But for routine stuff it's alot easier and faster. I don't have this particular one but one kinda like it. Critics of the prices have built this type out of 2 X 6's and a length of pipe and are happy. There's a thread somewhere on the site about this. Just my .02.

If you want the BEST jack, get the J&S Jack. If the money is more important then get the Sears Yellow or the Harbor freight.

no, the best is the one that works for you.
i do not jack up the bike to change the oil, it is unnecessary.
the red sears jack is the cheaper of the 2 and for what 69.99 thats the deal. you dont need more than that as long as you are a mechanic. but mt red jack came with support straps, maybe thats why this one is so much cheaper.
and i never have both the front and rear off the bike at the same time anyways...
