J&S Jack is the BEST! You're not settling for second best. It will hold your bike with or without wheels, forks, what ever you want to do. You can roll the bike around on it and feel secure. I will be getting one soon myself!

They are made about 20 miles south of me and 15 miles north of Greyphart. About $100 more than the sears jack, but worth every penny.

Anyone want to buy my Sears Yellow jack? I'm getting one of the J&S jacks! Link

Come on, all it has to do is hold 750lbs, it's not that hard. My mother-in-law's bathroom scale and dining room chair can do that.

Jim (in minnesota) on the "All Star Road-Stars" posted this a few years ago.

Got the dimensions and material list. The thin wall square tubing at the local Home Depot, etc. won't do so I'm thinking angle iron instead. Jim's version is a take-apart-for-storage.

Sad part is, it's true... Maybe not 750lbs, but around 500-550. Also, ex-mother-in-law, comes with the ex-wife. Should have picked up on that one sooner...

Nothing against big people, though. She's also a bitch.

Regarding jacks, I have a regular 2½ ton floor jack that I attached a piece of 2x6" to to jack up bikes, as well as a pulley system with padded hooks that will latch onto handle bars and rear of the frame. I haven't moved it to my new house though. Works great if you aren't working on the front forks.
