OK, the VOES takes place of the stock TPS if i'm understanding this right. Now I have V&H pipes, a Baron BAK, and I would assume the carb has been jetted as well. All those things were done when I bought it used. It is a 2000 model. My question (maybe a dumb one), but could a guy put that VOES on a factory carb or not. Thanks.

Cappdawg, no reason to......the TPS does the same thing, and you already have it....the flatslide carbs don't...

Flashback, I do appreciate it. One of the main reasons I asked is I think my TPS has a little "dead spot" in it. I've had problems and know how they act in cagers and assume they do practically the same thing on a bike. I'm just gonna have to test it with the ohm meter and see if there is a dead spot in it just after i start to hit the throttle. The only thing that puzzles me is when its idling it is fine when I gradually open the throttle, but when im putting along and want to hold a certain speed it seems to buck right off of idle if thats where I try to hold it. I was just curious if I needed an new TPS if a guy should go with the VOES instead. Thanks.

possibly the person who removed the carb for jetting removed the TPS from the carb instead of at the connector (seen it done on a couple of roadies). that would mean the TPS is out and needs to be re-set with a multimeter.
itīs no great shakes, takes very little time, and isnīt hard at all.

erizo, thanks. The only thing is i've had the bike about 4 1/2 years and it started a couple months ago. Either way it needs to be checked and replaced if needed. Something may have also vibrated loose I suppose. Not too sure, just have to check it.
