Power Distribution Block 2 Years, 7 Months ago
For those with accessories, what are you using for a power distribution block? I've reviewed the canyonracer/relay approach and know that a solution should probably use a fused block.

Like others my goal is to avoid having the battery posts get too cluttered. I want to use one for + and one for -/ground.

Ideas? Where to buy?

Dont worry about the negative side, attach ground wires anywhere on the frame.

This is a painless wiring harness, all circuits are through the relay. Works great you can buy it directly from Summit Racing. It is a ltlle bit more expensive than what some of the other folks are saying, but it is perfect and keeps all the wiring simple and managable.

Thanks Clifford. Attaching to the frame...is this what most folks are doing? I have seen both frame and neg post but always wondered which was best.

I run all my stuff back to the negative post on the battery, but everything is under the seat on my bike.

Looks like a solid solution. Do you have pics of this setup on a R*?

Dont have a pic but this is how I did mine.

Put the hot directly to my battery.

Ground at the ground point next to the battery and oil tank

Ran directly to my headlight bucket.

Wired my accessory wire to my driving light circuit in bucket

Then I wired a Flat Four Plug from my bucket to my fairing.

I now have a dedicated circuit for my Radio, and two dedicated circuits to accessory ports I wired to my fairing.

If I need to remove my fairing its four bolts and disconnect my flat four plug. Simple and easy.

The kit easily fits inside the headlight bucket.

If you need some pics I can take a few and send them to you. Just give me a email address.
