Washington State Newbie 2 Years, 7 Months ago
Hello to everyone.

I figured it was time I introduced myself to the forum (my first one so please be gentle) as I have been lurking in the background for about three years now.

It was this forum that convinced me to test ride a Roadstar before jumping on a HD and I am so happy I did. I LOVE THIS BIKE!

Enough about me and onto the bike; it’s a pearl white 2004 standard model with what I consider to be a fair amount of “making it my own”. The exhaust, air filter, and jetting are from the Speedstar recipe book with a hand ported intake (thanks RSC), otherwise the engine is stock.
I have installed a 07 HD fairing with custom made brackets that mount to the stock windshield mounts so it is removable, bit the bullet and purchased a four piece Ultimate seat (after too many miles on the stock one) and winter plans are to install a pair of old shovelhead hard bags then paint the fairing and bags to match the bike.

Thanks to all for the inspiration; now would it just stop raining?

What made you stop lurking and jump in? Don't get me wrong... I'm glad you did, just want to show the other lurker's that we don't bite!

Duane. To any other "lurkers", really we don't bite. Just nip occasionally.

Hi Duane, good to welcome a fellow Washingtonian. I'm up in the fourth corner, Bellingham. Lots of good riding in this state, good information on this site. Hope to see you on the road.
