11B (I know, stupid, huh?)
Joined 73 thinking I would "get over" my fear of heights by going airborne. needless to say, you don't "get over" that. Drill Sgt said drop airborne after AIT cause looks better than flunking and he couldn't get me to stand of a freaking chair!
Ended up with 4yrs to serve 11B and no choice where!
73 throigh 76 Baumholder Germany 1/87th Inf (mech) My Gt score was 153, all scores high. They told me I had to be a clerk/typist! After threats of digging foxholes in frozen ground, I said okay and ended up in S3 air... where I never touched a typwriter, never learned to type (thank god) and drove a jeep for 37 months.
Earned a EIB.
Went to Ft. Benning 1st Training Brigade for EIB instructing. Just to get me to re-up, I guess... I drove another jeep!
Out in 77. Was still E4
Had a ball, but just

had to get out... didn't reaize jobs out in the world were not as cushy!

PS, basic and ait Ft. Polk, LA. Is there a worse place on earth? Made Houston seem cool.

zulu: you can just unplug the connector on the pump and use two wires off a battery see if your pump is working ...Bike won't start.
