Mr Shamrock,
To answer your question yes, the pic is now ok. The reason for the pic size requirement is explained here: Sig Pic info
As long as the is no more than 450 pixels high and wide AND 50 kb in size you are ok.

Funny thing is, the pic on your profile page is just about right: 350px × 262px 47.74 KB (48886 bytes).

Ok I think I got it within spec now. Something was happening from photobucket to here that was making it larger for some reason. Sorry for all the trouble. I'll try to do better boss.

Much better. I had to play with my photobucket pic also a while ago. We've all been through it Mr_Shamrock, believe me.

Re:Cracks in intake 2 Years, 6 Months ago
When I fashoned the Ben Herr manifold to fit my stock carb using a part of the factory intake and a truck radiator hose, I learned that GOOP RV glue would withstand that type of heat for over 5K miles and be solid as a rock. As I guled the Radiator hose and the old manifold together with that RV GOOP and then glued the Hose to the metal manifold and when I went to pull it off 5K miles later, and it was rock solid stuck. So, if you were to smooth some on a cracked intake, it would be good as new I'm sure of it! I had to pull the glue off the hose with pliers!

Really only have to watch out for cracks in the valleys between the carb runner and the head runners the rest is metal tubing.

Re:Cracks in intake turned/hijacked to imaging 2 Years, 6 Months ago
i noticed those stress cracks too when i had the tank off.
I got some black fingernail polish and did a dozen thin layered coats. it is just vibrational stress from lugging and should not be any real problem. i'll see when i take the tank off to readjust the carb again if they have recracked...

note on images;
the reason for the size limit is if you upload the image to the R* clinic, the larger the image the more bandwidth consumed. IF your image is hosted elsewhere, and you use the img tag to hotlink to the image somewhere else then there is NO consumed bandwidth from the server hosting the clinic and therfore not a cost object.

in the old puter days most people had a screen res on a 15" monitor of 800 x 600 pixels, so if your image was 1024 x 768 it would overhang the browser window and need to be scrolled to view (or resize which some web browsers will do, like opera). these days with flat panels being more common and 1280 x 1024 for a screen resolution you have more screen real estate to view larger images.

all flat panel LCD screen's have a 'native' resolution and usually will only operate at that particular setting. all are not the same. my 47" vizio 1080p screen is only ~ 42dpi but the tiny ipod screen is a whopping 168dpi. the greater the resolution the finer an image quality, the lower the resolution the further you have to sit away from the screen in order to not see the individual dots.

so what we have is a large audience with a wide variation of viewing resolutions and in order to accomodate everybody's different view an image of 400W x 300H (length x Height) should work universally.

if you need a simple software program to work with your images i will provide it for your enjoyment. some easy things you can do is upload to a facebook or myspace account and 'hotlink' to the image.

like this images on my Fb page, it is not uploaded to the forum but 'hotlinked' to by using a tag. you can tell where on the internet an image actually resides by looking at it's link in the images properties under the right click menu.

if you guys want more information on imaging, i will author an article for you.

That is what I was thinking and tried to just copy and paste the HTML code from photobucket, but instead of the picture showing up the actual code shows up. I see on "My Forum Settings" that it says HTML Disabled. Is there a way to enable it here? That is how I have posted pics on other sites like Craigslist and eBay in the past and the pictures come out large and detailed.
