I would start with a new set of plugs - buy the iridiums NGK DPR7EIX-9. You could also run a little Sea Foam through the gas.

I just recently heard of sea foam. Is it a gas treatment? Every tank, or ever so often. Thanks for the input.

Just a splash of Seafoam in the tank after fill up , use 87 octane only , and rev her up through the gears regularly. An apple a day...... BB

That is a matter of opinion...it won't hurt to run a little in every tank. Personally I think it matters how often you fill the tank or should I say how often you burn a full tank. If you use the bike daily and fill it every week then I would say maybe once a month run some. If you are like most and only fill your bike every couple months I would use it every time. There is also a shock treatment you can do before a oil change which uses more seafoam to correct an already existing problem like SVS. The exact procedure is listed on this site somewhere. I am sure someone will chime in with the exact location of the article. Good Luck!

You and I both, but it seems there are alot of people around here that have a bike just as a conversation piece. My father is one. He had a Road King that he just sold, he put about 500 miles on it in a year. I have to admit as well there has been some months when work was CRAZY and my bikes weren't started for a month or so. Shame on me!

Any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: I SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES NAVY. John F. Kennedy Aug. 1963
