For clarification, this is not the problem that the recalls were done for. That problems was a circlip that was breaking.

If I understand correctly, this is a problem being caused by the 5th gear engagement lugs shearing off. Which then drop into the bottom of the case.

I have been told that Yamaha has a new part number now for this part that supersedes the original part these lugs are on.
