Re:LINDBY Highway bar riders 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Got my Lindby bars installed and couldn't be happier. I put the bars on this weekend along with a pair of ISO grips w/ Throttle Boss and Kury's Throttle lock/Cruise control and man I have been missing out. The throttle boss alone was a fantastic upgrade, it really does help.

I love the look of the Lindby Bar and haveing two more places to put my feet/legs just makes me want to ride more (as if 300+ miles a week wasn't enough).

Easy enough install with the exception of a dull drill bit. It made it through the first 1/6" to 1/4" of steel fairly quickly then took about 15 minutes to get through the second plate, and it doesn't help that the location of the top mount bolt requires you to remove the front fender to make the hole.

Drilling the hole is the worst part of installing the Lindby bar. I used a 45 degree drill motor and it made it much easier without removing the fender. The hard part was getting the floorboards off had to drill 2 of the bolts out as they stripped.

Here's a link to a posted pic on my flickr site. I didn't like the way the compression treated it so I left it full size and posted it to flickr instead of attching it here.

Not sure why the link is'nt working either, simple copy and paste but only half of it is active. I'll try again and then call it done.

I have the linby bars, but there are two problems with mine.

One is I have a Kuryakyn HyperCharger and it keeps me from putting my right leg up on the bars. Pushing my boot to the outside edge of the bars.

I had to put a Set of Kuryakyn Longhorn adjustable highway pegs on. I had to go with them because I couldn't reach the standard fold downs.

Second, My boot heel is riding on the shifter peg, and on the brake pedal.

In my opinion the bars could be manufactured a bit higher to prevent "big foot" hang-up
