I have a 08 with 7,000 miles and have yet to use mine, haven't decided on what to do with it, take it off or leave it. It doesn't bother me while i'm shifting. I have rode off road for thirty five plus years that i don't think about using it and i'm so used to the toe shift, i don't know if i would get used to using it unless i had real big heavy boots.

I'm so used to using my toe, I forget about the heel. I have tried using the heel and it just doesn't seem right to me. My Yami dealer has a toe shift for my '01 for $79.95, but I'm thinking about just cuting my heel part off and dabbing some black paint on the cut. I keep catching my heel on it when I'm stopping and I think it would be more comfortable on long rides having a little more room to shift my foot around.

I use the heel shift part all the time. As a paper weight in the garage. BB
