There are two back rests that fit the R* a short and a tall. Which do you have now? Either one will accept the Yamaha luggage rack.

Hi again,i have the short one but the tall one offered by yamaha is only 2" or is it 3" taller which isnt much and the wife likes the safer feeling she gets from having a considerably taller backrest behind her which is why i asked about it.

Thanks..Scott

The Yamaha tall one is 3" taller than the short (standard). I have one for sale in the classifieds section for half price of what Yamaha wants. It's the one in my sig pic.

Hey Dave,
I tried to pm you on the bar about 2 weeks back. Never got a reply so thought she was
gone. I have the short one now on my 01 Siverado. Will it mount to my existing setup ?
Also will my studded pad fit on it ?
Thanks,
Chris

Hey Scott,
My wife was a little apprehensive when riding on the back. I got some grab handles and slapped them on. It really helped her confidence level a lot. Not a bad investment for her piece of mind. I got mine from MC enterprises but I'm sure there are other places. Easy on.

That page shows them for the Viagro, but I know they had some for the R*....might be the same. You can give them a call to see if they fit or have some others that do. Like I said, it sure made mamma feel more at ease that she had something to grab on to other than the sissy bar or the seat strap.

I have the tall sissy bar from Yamaha, but I have the tall pad from Ultimate. Scootergirl likes it better than the short one, and really likes it when I have the backpack on, she says it gives her a place to rest her head on the long rides (I still think she's sleeping back there)

The luggage rack I got from Clifford here on the RSC, great price too! Always contact Clifford before you buy any thing for the scoot anywhere else.
