HI GUYS,i just bought a used 06 1700 silverado & prior owner stated it had Cobra pipes on it which look exactly like cobra longshots when i looked at the cobra site.

But when i bought the quieter cobra baffles to quiet it down for the wife they would not fit.

i then sent pics online to cobra of pipes and baffle's and they called me back & told me the pipes looked a lot like thier pipes but baffle was nothing like thiers and thats obviuosly why the quieter Cobra baffles didnt fit.

I also contacted Smasons because my pipes looked exactly like their pipes too and sent them the pics too and the person there said no go too and that baffle was nothing like is in their pipes.

I looked at DG hard chrome and none of thier pipes look like my pipes either and am now at a loss trying to find out the true mfg for the pipes on my bike.

Maybe there's an off shore chineese mfg that makes pipes for these bikes and thats whats on my bike?

I tried to attach pics for you to see but they are too lrg and when i used an optiog to reduce pixel size half the dang pic disapears so unfortunately i cant attach them here for all of you to see.

If anybody want's to take a stab at identifying the pipes/baffle in my pipes you can send an email to me at(swwheaton@verizon.net) so i can then reply send the pics directly to your email. Then you can see if you can maybe help me out & identify the pipes on my bike. I am hoping the pics of current baffle in bike next to a new cobra baffle i have will catch someones eye to say hey i know who's baffle that one is along with a good pic of pipes on the bike too.

I cant find any mfg's marking on the pipes anywhere at all.

Is it possible for you to measure the inside diameter and buy some baffles to fit inside of the pipes.
You could do a search on the forum and see what you could come up with. A lot of the pipes look the same so it would be tough to identify them from a picture.
You are on the right, although, long track on locating the manufacture. Is it possible to contact the previous owner and ask where they came from?

Your bike is exactly like mine same color etc accept for pipes and mine still has original windscreen.

I did contact the seller again and said he tought they were cobras but cobra baffle dont come close to fitting and when isent pics to cobra people they said no go too.

I would bet if someone see,s the baffle that will catch thier because its a totally different looking baffle then any oither baffle i have seen in yrs and also very different from corba or samson baffles too which could be used as a good thing to differnechiate the baffle in my pipes from other mfg's.

I wish i could get the pic i have to load here but NG because its too lrg and when i reduce it half the pic disappears and its NG either.

Maybe someone that works at a bike shop will hopefully chime in here and send an email to my address (swwheaton@verizon.net) and i could maybe get lucky if they could identify that lone very different looking fat 12' long baffle with no holes at al on the outside like most baffles have.

I made an acct & uploaded the pics so heres the link for you and or anyone else to see.

The smaller dirty-used baffle is the current baffle in the pipes on my bike which may be the best indicator of what pipes i have because it looks so different then the avg baffle i have ever seen.

They look kind of like Hard Krome "Big Straights" like in this picture:

They are not HK Big Straights they are not the same configuration They look like Cobra's make sure the baffle that is in them is the right one. Their should be some # on the pipes some where. Look on the back side near the Heads or near the chrome cover then type the number in the computer should leed you to what they are.

Yeah, I have HK big straights and those are not them. HK Big straights do not block access to transfer case oil. Those in the picture do block access.
