Dude, your in SC! Just wear long pants and socks maybe a zip up fleece jacket! What does it get down to there, 40 or 50? I don't even put on gloves until it gets below 40 See the signature picture? It was 50 that day!

Just yanking your chain... seriously, just wear layers with a wind protector on top, a full face helmet and gauntlet gloves. XXL gloves are hard to find, so when you do find some (try snowmobile gloves) get a good pair that will last a while.

I bought ski pants on clearance for $35 last year and found them better at than leather chaps at keeping the cold out. Bought them big and the they fit right over regular clothes. Only thing, you notice how cold the hands and neck get if not properly protected!

I put the liner in my leather jacket and change gloves. jeans and shoes are still fine. I don't go for long hauls though.

Winter riding gear in these parts (So. Cali) is a T-shirt, instead of a tank top...

I bought some MSR Racing snowmobile gloves from eBay for $39. They're water- & wind-proof, have leather palms & are easy to move in. They're very warm, I haven't even felt an inkling of cold or wind, even at 85 MPH in below freezing temps!

I've found how much leather SUCKS at keeping wind & weather out! My next winter jacket will be a textile touring!

OK this is going to be funny for some of you "Southern folk" But when I ride and it's 30 or below here is what I wear..

Fleece T-shirt and long johns, jeans with chaps, toe warmers in my boots. Up top over the t-shirt I wear a thin long sleeve shirt and a fleece hoody and my leather jacket. Then I can put on the Balaclavas and pull the hoody up and put on my helmet and either my leather work gloves or if it's really cold, I put on my snowmobile gloves with hand warmers in them. I also carry some body warmers in the saddlebags just in case.

How many of you are thinking of the kid in the snowsuit on from the Christmas story? Yep,that's ME!
