Colored ground effects 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Has anyone put on colored ground effect lights? I have been thinking about putting blue ground effects on. They say its just 2-sidded tape and i wanted to know if it would stay on well. Seems like they would come off from the vibrations.

Make sure you clean the frame real good with regular cleaner then again with alcohol, you will be good, my lights are on my fenders and no problems.

I used stick on velcro under my tank and saddlebags so when I need to remove them it's easy to pull off and reinstall

I drilled a hole under my seat on the left hand side, under the wire bundle there and the button is atcually on the back/ bottom side toward the rear tire so I can just reach down and click it while on or off the bike. Hope that makes sense and the pictures help.

Mine is set up the same way as CPORetired, switch under the edge of the seat out of sight, but not out of reach... two strip lights stuck to the under side of the tank with a quick disconnect and about 8 spots located at various places on the frame...

I used a remote control on my LEDs instead of a switch...with receiver & 2 remotes for under $20, you can't beat it! I put the receiver under my seat and just clip the remote through a zipper pull on my jacket, and it's always handy.

Very good idea. I'll have to check out Walmart about this switch.
