Man what a day here in the Detroit area Michigan. I was able to do a 200+ mile run today in this almost 70deg. Sunday afternoon. I have never seen so many bikes out and found myself in many bike packs throught the day and some good fellowship. This was a perfect day for me. Running the back roads and taking in the smell of burning wood and leaves, Can't get any better than this. Almost the best ride to date. I only wish the Wife could experiance this with me but she got called to Germany for 2 weeks on buisness. I am glad to get more time in on my R* before the snow flies. Though I have many plans to upgrade over the winter for my R* I am not anxious to parking her just yet.

Likewise down here in Kentucky. In the 70s here too. What a great day to get out and put some miles in. Met a bunch of bikes on the road and had a great day with some biker buddies.

Cool newroadie, Nothing better than rididn and hanging with fellow bikers. I met some great folks today. One of the many reasons I started riding. I only wish the wife was here to share the day. I know she would have enjoied it. Hopefully there might be a couple more good warm weekends/days left this year for her (and me).

I have to add that I did experiance my first CARB PUKE today. Had to sit for about 10 min in a construction zone (heated her up good), I had just shut off after about 10min but was clear to proceed. Started fine but stopped about 1 mile up the road at Lakeville Tavern for lunch. Came out and the bike was hard starting and reaked of Gas. Got her started and took off and just got out of the parking lot and she went dead. Cranked a bit and got her fired again and made it about 300 ft and dead again. I sat for a couple of minuits and fired up and all was well rest of the day. Thought I was exzempt from the carb puke phenomenom. I now close the fuel petcock a bit before I roll in to park and let her iddle a bit before shutdown, Ya know, Empty the bowl so there is nothing to puke.

Hey, Roadstarnewbie2009. I experienced the ame thing yesterday afternoon ... what a great day here in SE MI. I put on abot 100 miles ... bikes everywhere.
Say, PM me ... where exactly are you in the Detroit area. Maybe we can get together sometime and do some riding. My wife rides as a passenger, too. So they'll each have some company, as well.
Ride safe!

Seems like all of us "midwesterners" got to ride this weekend. I was out Saturday and Sunday as well. Beautiful!
Looking at the Almanac last night it looks like it mey be really hit & miss for rides the rest of the year, but I will wait till the snow balls are hitting me in the ass before I put her away.

My wife and I took our Roadstar to French Lick to see Ron White Saturday night...beautiful weather but a little on the windy side. It was hard to believe it was November! Hopefully we'll all have more days like these this winter.
