Re:A New Newbie 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Guys , I have decided to buy a Road Star.

The shopping process starts, Now!

Pardon my ignorance, is "Roadie" is special year, or just a nickname for all Road Stars?

Regards

M Khan

The Roadstar isn't for everyone, just those of us who fell in love with them and there are a lot of us here. There are also quite a few who have owned many other types of bikes including HD, some still have their HD and still ride the Roadstars.

I had the money to buy ANY bike I wanted, but after doing a blind test, riding quite a few bikes, and looking at them, I bought my 07 Roadstar. I traded in an 08 Suzuki Boulevard to buy it too!

I haven't had ANY trouble with my bike in the last year, almost 9,000 miles (and it was stored for the winter). Like most of the rest of us, I just wish I could go NOMAD and ride everyday all year with no job or bills.

BTW, I will be 51 next week, and I have 9 grandchildren so far.

Don't forget that black bikes are faster so you might want to keep that in mind.

I would add to buy the most R* you can up front. You can always dress down but it costs $$ to dress up. I'd recommend look for a bike with mag wheels for tubeless tires and they're easier to keep clean. If you can find a Midnight silverado, it will have all sorts of chrome doo dads.

Roadie is a nickname for all years of Road Stars. Shopping is fun! Good Luck!
