Advantages? 2 Years, 3 Months ago

I have a set of Roadhouse Classics (I think)on my 05 yamaha roadstar silverado. I have always been told to only rejet if you are changing air flow into the the bike, not out of it. Anywho,I know there are people that change the air intake. What advantages do you get by doing so? Is it really worth spending the extra money? Does it change the depth of tone of the exhaust? Just sitting around and curious about it.
