The barons fuel pump relocation kit comes with a very clean relocation bracket for the choke knob as well...

New choke knob location is badly circled in red.

RK, ola neighbor! You've got me looking. Seems like a good location for the choke knob. Need more detail on mounting though, if you don't mind.

BTW, how'd the job interview work out?

Ratl.

Howdy, Ratl...flying out to Washington tomorrow afternoon for the interview on Thursday...fingers crossed! 15 months of being out of work may soon come to an end! Also now have possible opportunities in Yuma, Scottsdale & Tucson. Who knows?

As far as mounting, it's a simple rectangular piece of aluminum with a hole and notch for the cable and one hole for mounting bolt. Here in this most recent pic, I've moved it back to where the fuel pump was and put it on a cheap L-bracket from Lowe's. I like it on the tank mounting bolt better, but it's kinda hard to grab reaching around my big winter butt with my big thick winter gloves. I'll move it back in the spring...

Hope that helps & enjoy your riding season (which is just beginning in Phoenix)!

Roadkill, did you relocate the fuel pump or are you using a vacuum method?

I like having less parts

TROB--

Neither...I just vented the fuel cap, installed the larger needle valve & seat, trimmed the pickup tube in the tank and ran hose with an inline filter straight from the petcock to the carb. NOTHING to break & absolutely no performance problems!

And yeah, the fewer parts the better...I went pumpless after a dead fuel pump relay left me stranded in a bad area at 11:30 PM a couple years ago...

Pumpless is priceless!
It's inexpensive, can be done in steps and ads a substantial improvement in reliability by doing away with parts that can fail. A gigantic plus for me was that it also made my bike Pukeless.
Had I to do it over,
I would have 1st Went to Max Air and ordered the high flow fuel filter, the High flow Pingle fuel valve and a adjustable PMS screw. While I waited on that to come in I would have went to Suzuki and ordered the Flaot valve needed. Some extra hose and some easily available brackets you can make to relocate the Choke and idle adjustment and thats all you need besides a allotment of time viriable by skill level and how fast you can find your tool.
Follow the instructions in Tech article and that come with the Pingle valve and you just added some Iron Butt type reliability to your bike and it looks way better seeing through the Jugs.

I vote that going pumpless should be second thing to do just after removal of the AIS. Had I done that I would have saved countless hours at the dealer trying to resolve Puking, and how many gallons of gas?
