I have the hypercharger. It does improve power a bit. It does stick out a bit, which I've gotten used to over the 4 years I've had the HC. Don't even notice it anymore. The Pro version sticks out even more. I like the hypercharger because:

  1. it looks cool with the butterflies opening and closing.

  2. customizable:

    • you can change the color of the butterflies

    • you can change the color of the trapdoor

    • you can add lights. I have the kury infinity streamliner on mine, ties into my lizard lights... very cool

    • you can add a picture or three to the trapdoor and change them quickly if desired. (http://www.stargis.net/webslinger/CutomHypercharger.htm)

    • can change the outside look with the hyper streamliner or stinger trap door. You can even upgrade the standard to Pro if you want. The later two, not sure if rejetting would be necessary.

    • could add led lights to the inside of the hypercharger to give a cool effect at night.

  3. easy to clean/oil filter

  4. doesn't spit oil on my leg like the folks who over oil their BAK filter.

Hey slyguy, is that a WWII bomber decal on your gas tank? I've been looking at a couple similar designs. LOVE the look.......

Re:Hypercharger 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Not trying to hijack the thread, but I have a hypercharger question. The butterflies on my hypercharger don't flutter very much when it idles. They open properly when I hit the throttle, but all the ones I have seen on other bikes flutter alot when the bike is idling. I think it looks cool when the flutter violently at idle. Will the flutter more as it breaks in/wears out? Thoughts?

I had the pro model at one time, There is a screw with a spring on it where the linkage connects to the diaphram, adjusting it will make them more or less sensitive to vaccum variation...I don't remember which way to turn it, so you'll need to experiment...
