If you shop eBay DO NOT buy from biker-trends. I ordered a license plate bracket and have not received it after 10 days. They keep telling me it shipped, but could not provide me with a tracking number. After filing a claim through eBay they tell me their shipping person has been sick for the last couple weeks. I checked their feedback and they have been shipping items everyday for the last few weeks. Obviously like alot of eBay seller they advertise items that they don't have in stock and when their supplier is out of stock they will lie to you and give you the run around until either you file a claim or they get it from their supplier. Sorry to rant here, but I figured since they have been totally dishonest with me they deserve a little negative publicity.

I sell on ebay as a part of my income and have never received a negative. But shipping problems DO happen, it just depends on how they help you out to determine whether the seller sucks or not. I always work with the customer and sometimes things just get re-routed for whatever reason. If you bought it 10 days ago, they probably took a day or two before it shipped which isnt unreasonable, add in sunday and a holiday, and your at about 5-6 days in transit. which is pretty normal if he didn't use Priority Mail.... i just hope it arrives soon.

Look at his feedback, does he have negatives? if so, what are the reasons given? Ebay holds their sellers accountable through Feedback, and they wouldnt be able sell anything if they were shady people and received a bunch of negatives. If he has 99%+ i would give them another 4 days before filing a claim....yea that may be slow shipping, but not the end of the world...... 2 weeks would be my max.

when i read the title, i thought it was 3 weeks late, or broken on receipt/no refund.

I understand shipping issues, but I e-mailed them a few days ago and they told me it had already shipped a couple days after the auction ended which was a lie. Now they are estimating shipping time for the middle of next week. If they were a stand up seller they should have been the one to contact me to let me know there was a stock issue and give me the option to either wait or get a refund. They are located in Virgina and that is why I purchased it from them (they were close enough where it should only be a couple days in transit). The kicker is someone else put one on right after I won this one for alot less (they were an individual and decided to go another route) I could have saved about $60 dollars. Oh well, I just HATE being lied to! Plus this is the last thing I am waiting for to make my bike road ready so I am already anxious.

yea that sucks. if they really didnt have it in stock and had to drop ship i would raise hell. I hate that.

i sold a guitar bridge to someone i Hawaii on ebay. i was told it would take 10 to 14 days it took 6 weeks.

When I get stuff from Hong Kong or China it takes a month. Stuff out of the US usually takes 3 weeks.

i have great success internationally. I typically can get items anywhere in the world in 6 days. australia, france, iceland, russia, etc. Priority mail flat rate envelopes are pretty cheap if the item is small and is awesome for domestic and international stuff. Those are all i use

Yeah, but I'm too cheap for even those. And I'm usually never in a rush for stuff.

I buy and sell a lot on e-bay and even the item I bought that were shipped regular mail made it to me in 5 days minus the weekends. Some only ship on one day of the week but the have always posted that. The items I ship arrive in three days so 10 days is way to much in my book. If the item was out of stock they should have informed you. I bought one item like that and they didn't inform me but they did have an order status link. When I check it said it was back ordered. I cannceled the order and bought some where else. I got the item and the the first order arrived the same day. I sent it back and got a refund just because the didn't contact me ever though it was cheaper. No I won't buy from them again. I beleave you take care of your customers period no matter what it takes.

Well it might have been a blessing in disguise it forced me to get off my lazy butt and go diggin through my tupperware bins full of misc bike stuff. I found an old Road King tag mount that ended up being able to be mounted with just a slight bit of modification (to the mount not the bike). It is mounted through the 2 factory holes in the fender. It is definitely larger than what I had in mind, but it was free. Now if I can just get my $125.00 back from these eBay folks. What do you guys think...too big or OK?
