Hardstreet saddlebags - looking for opinions 2 Years, 7 Months ago
Anybody on here ever use or have any experiences with these bags? I like the looks and the price seems okay but I haven't heard anything about them.

Please, fire away.

I've been looking at bags myself. I saw those and like them but I don't like the size. They seem small to me.
If I settle on hardbags I'll probably have to search for a used set of Yammi Venture bags. None of the others look good to me.

Actually, if you look at the measurements for these bags.... they are very close to the same size as the RSTD/Venture bags... and they even have the same shape... personally, I think they made the mold either off or very similar to the Yammi bags... My brother has been looking at them as well, and we noticed that right off...

Maybe it's because they have them mounted almost on top of the seat in their gallery but they just don't 'look' as big.
It's hard to beat the looks of the Venture bags.
But that's just me.

I must agree... the brackets they send with the bags are cheesy at best... someone with a little fab and welding skills could make a really nice set of brackets for those bags that would put them down where they need to be... and that would be down where the Venture bags are... I honestly started to buy the Hardstreet bags until I got the deal that I did with my bags...

I was also looking at those bags until I saw a set first hand and felt the walls were too thin.

I also seen them first hand as Jon D did, Cheapie plastic...I am looking at getting these MM08 Fiberglass bags from http://www.hardbags.com/ ...They are all Fiberglass and seem to be very well made. The bike on the website with the black bags with the "optional" chrome accents on them are what you get shipped to you, less of course the optional chrome accents. Robert Wittenburg is the owner and will answer any questions you have promptly, They seem pretty straight up, He told me they have sold over 800 sets of these bags without one complaint or issue...

Good luck in your quest...........

I was also looking at the ones from hardbags.com and they look pretty nice and the company profile was impressive. My only problem was with the way they open from back to front. I wasn't sure if I could mount a trunk and still have enough room to open them. So I opted for a set of HD police bags from Ebay. They open like the venture bags. And I will modify my Yami brackets to fit.
By the way the Yami Tour Classic bags in my sig pic are for sale.

I kind of like the Honda Valkyie bags. I think the lines would match well with our RS fender. Check them out...

I have the Hardstreet bags, and I'm not happy with them. They are huge that's not a bad thing. What I'm not happy with is the fact that I had to use Ghost brackets to mount them far enough out to clear the belt drive. They look TERRIBLE imho. If I was to do it again I would go with the Tsukayu Strong bags. They look cool and mount really close to fender because they are made with a cut out in the wheel side to clear the belt drive and swingarm. When I get back home at the end of the month I will post pics of the Hardstreet bags. I hate 'em.
