Well you say it's a virgin engine, so the PMS is most likely closed off now. So turning that in a 1/8th or a 1/4 is not an option. Curt is right about letting it break in, and using the clutch to stall it right at the end will help keep it from rolling backwards and doing other things related to backfire and run on.

I also suggest turning the fuel off about 30 seconds before shutdown, and using the key to kill the bike with the clutch in gear method.

it"s like $50 but It's easy to install a K&N air cleaner, that might help you.

That sounds like the spoons on the decompression valves some guys have had them stick alittle.
