Okay read a couple article in the tech area on jetting and all Ican say is F that. How in the hell are you suppose to figure out what settings to use. When I took the bike from the dealrer they said they did not mess with hte jetting. The bike runs fine, but I don't know if I'm getting good milage or not.

Sorry for highjacking the thread.

Shooting from the hip , you lose 3% HP for every 1000 feet in elevation. SO.....you are 4000 feet above where I am. 12% lose in power. My point is if you are throttle happy (which I don't know) , to get your bike to move Requires more fuel than mine does. Following me?

If it runs good , good for you. Gas mileage varies based on a lot of things , riding style, Elevation , modifications , etc....

I've ridden through Colorado on a few occasions , don't remember my mileage sucking that bad except for serious elevation climbs (like Wolf creek pass). If you are in the mid to upper 30's range under regular riding conditions , you should be OK. Just compare your next fill up gallons wise against the miles traveled , and you will have a good idea how you stand. BB

Glassman66, I'm up in Louisville. I've never had a problem, never felt I needed to re-jet. I bought it here and I'm pretty sure it was set up for the altitude. I rode the PCH last summer and didn't feel much difference. Even rode Death Valley, 100' below sea level. Never had a problem.
