Tristate, did you replace the fuel inlet valve on your carb with a larger one? That is another reason you can have starvation issues after removing the pump. I don't have it in front of me, but Suzuki makes a valve set that fits our carb but has a larger inlet size. Search under Suzuki valve set.

ratl, yea,did that, trimed main tank tube on petcock last night seems ok, need a chance to run hard again but I beleive it is ok now
