Detailed picture of brake lever 2 Years, 6 Months ago
The piece that pushes in my brake light button on the handle bar is broke off. The dealer said I would need a new master cylinder for the front brake since it was one piece. However I don't see how this can be the case, because it would be fixed. It seems to me that the piece that presses the brake light button would be pressed by the lever. Could someone snap a quick picture for me of the master cylinder area from the front of the bike, showing the piece that pushes the button on the brake lever? I've looked all over but I can't get a good picture of it that is up close. Thanks.

Mr Shamrock, that is awesome. THanks for the quick reply. I was able to see what I needed in the 3rd picture, the piece that drops down to turn off the brake light when pressed. Mine appears ground off so the brake light is always on. I can't believe the dealer wanted to charge me to replace the master cylinder when it was just the lever that can be replaced. Could you do me one more quick favor and snap one from the front showing the piece that touches that button, not the plunger part but the light part.

The brake lever releases the brake lights switch not push it to turn on. Check the blue squares. Hope this helps

Awesome, thanks everyone. I'm extremely tempted to replace it and take it to the dealer and ask how this was going to require the replacement of the master cylinder. They seemed like nice guys too...
