I don't care much for dyna's, to many variables, and of course the operator themselves. As I mentioned before, I care for the afr numbers. Most tuners dial the afr in for performance only. but there is a spread to which you can tune the carb for in afr. From info I have gathered over the years, cruise afr is between 13 to 14, 14 if ya want the economy, 13 if ya want the performance. I'm at 14 and get 50mpg, anything over 70mph, mpg's go down since I'm now on the needle and my wot is aprox 12.5 afr, needs to be richer here for a few reasons, 1 to help in keeping engine cooler and to prevent detonation, in some cases mostly racing application they go richer.

I don't recall who's afr run I had seen, but from cruise to wot it was 14, sure, great for gas mileage, but, peak tq takes an afr of 13.5. so with those afr #'s, he can't achieve the full potential of peak tq, nor for peak hp.

I've never tapped the rev limiter in 5th. At about 110 my nerves gave in and I brought it back down. About a mile farther down I90 the law was behind the overpass. Was glad I slowed down when I did. Admittedly I think she would have gone faster. Seemed like I was at the end of the power curve though. So it may have got up there faster in that mile. But I'd be writing from JAIL if it did!!!!

Do you think they'd let you write to RSC from jail? Maybe so!
