Yamaha thought they were protecting people from driving off with the kickstand down. The R* was the first motorcycle I ever owned that had a switch like that so I removed it. And now that I'm in the process of converting it to a trike for my wife to ride I even removed the kickstand all together. It can't fall over

That is one expensive kickstand mod

But I like it can't wait to see it boxed in!

Makcap you had me ROTFLMAO! Yes that is an expensive kickstand mod!!!
I just got the rear section yesterday and will be working on it this weekend. I have been taking pictures through each process. It's amazing how much it cost for a trike kit so that is one of the reasons I'm building everything myself.

I'm still working on the reverse part in my head. I'm still looking for a low RPM 12volt motor that I can make work. I have an idea but I just have not put the idea from my head to the real world yet. I'm still working on the body metal. Once that is done then I can concentrate on making a reverse. Sorry!

They have a gear that goes on the right side of the transmission case. Unfortunately the R* transmission is built into the engine case! So I will need to make an electric reverse!
