The talk around here now is that it was a bad call by the ref. Faulk's back was to the ref, and he could not see or know when Faulk had secured the ball. Frame by frame replay shows Faulk secured the ball quite quickly, and that the spot was probably mistaken, and that the spot may well have put the ball ahead enough to have made the First Down call... and changed the entire outcome of the game.

Of the 3 other officials, two were watching something else, and the fourth was on the other side of the field.

Had a review been possible, an overturning of the call would have been a very real possibility/probability.

That's the NFL.

I am a Patriots fan but it seems that the Patriots get a huge lead on the Colts and then they always play conservative in the 2nd half. Always the Patriots get their buts kicked against Manning.

The play calling of running against the colts at home on the 2nd half didn't work in the 1st and the Patriots relied on it. Why?

By going for it Belichik on 4th and 2 showed the defense that he lacked confidence. Rather than kicking the ball and letting them find out for themselves how good they really are with 2 mins. to go like in a Super Bowl.

Now the defense has no clue about a real gut check time because Belli ache (Belichik) sent the wrong message to his team.

I am a huge Brady Fan and I think he deserves better guidance. He is ready to win his fourth championship ring.
