I'm running a DS tire on my M*. I think though that I'm going to switch back to a motorcycle tire. I went with a Michelin 195/70/16 and after 1,400 miles I still can't get the sway from the rear end at high speed to go away. Maybe I just chose too large (wide) a tire...and I don't care for the weight shift on hairpin turns either, like driving up hwy 1 on the CA coast. I'll switch the rear to a Michelin Commander to match the front and see what happens. Traditionally I run Metzlers with pretty good luck.

I replaced the stock Bridgestones with Continental Milestones and love the handling difference. Seemed like the wear on the stocks was great but the handling sucked. Every groove and tar snake made the R* wobble. Not so with the Conti's. Have 9000 mi. so far and the back will need to be replaced soon. Lots of tread left on the front. Running 38 psi. on the rear and 36 psi. on the front.

I put on Pirelli Route 66 tires this time, which are reportedly built at the same facility as the Metzelers, and have a similar (if not identical) compound. I have 13k on them and anticipate changing them in the spring though they've probably got another 3 or 4k left. They're 15-20% cheaper than the Mets and have a solid feel to them. They are definately in a class with the Metzelers and much better than the Dunlops.... my opinion, of course.
