So for for me being new to the R* my lesson learned is not tu run a dunlop 404 tire on the front of the bike (thats rec by yamaha) which made it unstable at all speeds at all times you were riding it.

And yes i checked tire pressure, tried rec 36 lbs then tried all the way to 42bs with same result, ubstable as heck.

Also checked steering head bearing preload and front tires bearings too, they were all tight, bike just turned 5k miles & is like new.

I also was told the dunlops were an issue on front of R* by a few other people here in RSC too.

So i replaced the new downright dangerous handling Dunlop with a bridgstone 703 of same size and WALLA!!!!! problem solved, bike handles great now.

I feel the Dunlop 404 is a poor quality tire IMHO.

I just installed a set of Irridiums and so far so good (1000+ miles). I have a carb puke proplem now to deal with but I know it's not the fault of the plugs.

OK, the plugs might have been a BAD example.... have you tried anything else that didn't work, anything that you might want to warn people about? Bike stuff, nothing about my X-wife..

Darn, my plugs work great! what are you talking about crazy guy??

I think someone else bought the next one up from yours and it stopped working and the speakers just sort of fell to pieces. Might have bought it from the same company, but it could have been made by another??

Great idea for a thread. The only thing I would undo is the highway pegs I put on my little Yama engine guards. They are useless, but the installation marred the surface of the bars so I leave them on to cover the scratches.

Using Chrome replacements for the bolts that hold the filter on and tourquing it to specs. They break easy...so don't ever use chrome bolts where you need to torque it down to "HOLD" something down...you'll cry like I did when you see a broken bolt inside that thread!!!!

I found out the hard way that if a bolt is going in hard and not stripping to just run a tap down it to clean out anything. I found that out after I broke a banjo bolt off in my new forward controls. I got it squared away and it now works dandy.

Tried syn-oil, my engine sounded more mechanical and noisy. Maybe it was just me. Took it out and went back to dino.
