This is one of the better ones. The guy is riding a Vulcan 2000 with a Goodyear Triple Tread.

I hate seeing this stuff while at work. Our I.T. department blocks youtube, ebay & lots of other websites.

Would love to see before and after shots to see the differences in contact patch with an MC tire versus the car tire. Looks pretty good, but I am still sticking to motorcycle tires. JMHO

Yeah, I'm with Bob. I don't get why you would want to put a car tire on a motorcycle. I take corners pretty hard, and I don't know if I would trust the car tire from not coming out on me.

First off , Let's keep this conversation civil. I'm not suggesting anyone is out of hand , but its happened in the past. We all have opinions.
Second of all , cool video. I for one would really like to know just how far you could push a car tire on the back of a bike , because I ride the wheels off mine up in the mountains , and would not want to loose any of that lean angle (even if it was based strictly on not feeling comfortable with the thought of it being a car tire).
Yes , car tires are car tires and bike tires are bike tires , but I'm not one to knock an idea just because I didn't come up with it. BB

BTW , notice how much trash the front tire throws up. I always tell my friends, the front kicks it up , the back picks it up. This video proves that without a shadow of a doubt. Ever wonder where that nail came from? Your front tire knows....... BB

Just from what the guys say that like to ride that way AND have a CT on their bike... You would actually end up taking the corners even faster and harder. More contact patch and better grip.

A buddy of mine swears by a small mud flap on the front side of the rear tire. Say's when the front tire kicks up a nail it will knock it out of the way before it sticks into your rear tire. Makes sense to me.

Why not go with a car tire? It lasts 4 times longer. You guys that sit here and say that you ride your bikes hard through the corners, what bike are you riding? A R*? that's not a bike that is even built for cornering and handling in that manner. It's a CRUISER!! If you purchased a R* thinking you have a fast bike and road race bike guess what? You didn't even come close to that!! Please don't put people down for trying something different because in your mind it's not right. It is being proven over and over that the car tire will handle very well. I'm sure the tire manufactures are going to get wind of this type of thing and watch the price of those type car tires that will work on our bikes just sky rocket in price. They have so many people fooled into thinking that you can only run a car tire on a car and a motorcycle tire on a motorcycle. It's just like you guys finding out that you can use a hydraulic lifter for a jeep in the R* engine. I'm sure someone out there was saying "are you nuts, you could cause damage to your motor, you should only use what was made for it!!"
If you don't want to run a car tire on your motorcycle so be it!!! That's what Freedom is all about. Free to choose!!!

I haven't seen anyone in this thread knocking/ putting down guys who run car tires on their motorcycle. Just mentioning they would not run it themselves for personal reasons. I won't run a car tire either even though it's "proven" to work. It's my choice!
Lets keep it civil or this thread will be locked.
