I just wanted to say hi! I just picked up a '99 Road star that I'm making my own with some modifcations and this web site is a great help.

I've just put on a set of 18"apes, powder coated the spoke wheels, repainting it from blue and white to a dark grey, stripping off all of the non-esential parts, and adding a few new goodies. I've had it for just over 2 weeks and it is almost ready. I've been converted back. I'm in the midst of selling my custom bike. My other bike is a ridgid pro street chopper with a 300 reat tire and a 127" motor. It's a great bike but I like the reliability and all the things you can do to a road star.
