#238980 greyphart (User) Platinum Boarder Posts: 4844 Effects of gasoline on ? 2 Years, 6 Months ago   Looking to rig up an IV type of gas feed (for winter testing) using a stainless steel thermos bottle (aka cheap idea). I got a one gallon All (detergent) bottle from my wife , put a small hole in it on the bottom , used an old petcock off a dirt bike and sealed it to the bottom of the bottle. That thing works like a charm. Hangs on the wall here in the garage , but has been lent out to friends on many occasions. Gas doesn't bother it , and with the petcock , I can turn it on and off like a tank. Gas will get through more things than you think it will , so be careful. It's good for trying out baffle mods, checking for any coil arcing, setting the idle, finding air/gas leaks, etc. With the tank removed it makes things much easier. BTW BB, I like your suggetion.
