replacement Throttle Sleeve? 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Anyone know where I can buy a replacement throttle sleeve? I destroyed mine while removing the ISO grips. I am in the middle of changing over to 14 inch apes, with white coke bottle grips. Going for a bobber look on the RS. Probably have bitten off more than I can chew, but I will have fun no matter what the outcome. Thanks guys-CB

Some independent cycle shops sell them. If Clifford is on here he might have one in stock.

So....did you find one? I damaged mine drilling the bar end weight out to install polly grip heaters. (not recommended)(the heaters work good, but the drilling.....)

Yep, I drilled off center, and into the top of the bar. I cut a little bit out of a 3/4 copper coupling to shore up the part I drilled out, filled in the gap (thickness of the bar) with jb weld. sanded down smooth, lubed with white lithium grease. I picked out the burrs from the throttle sleeve, sanded that too, but somehow the sleeve seems to have shrunk, it won't just slip onto the bar, and while I can turn it, the spring won't bring it back, I have to untwist the throttle, which could be a problem.

Does anyone have a used sleeve? Any ideas/thoughts/opinions? thanks

You drilled out the bar end weights through the end of the bars????? OMG those are like 4 inches long!

All you needed to do was drill out the welds and they slide right out.
