Well the basics are done and I went on my maiden voyage today and it did everything like it was supposed to. The only thing I had to do was adjust the clutch, but I did that before I left the driveway. It is a beautiful day and I plan on going back out later this afternoon. Anyway here is the bike in it's currrent form. I am waiting to see if I get a refund on an eBay item and what the rest of the take off parts sell for to get a final tally on what I have in it. There will be more to come, but I will enjoy it like this for a little while. I am still going to remove the front rotor covers, but am going to wait until the new brake pads come in.

I did not bottom out with just me on it and I purposely went over some decent dips and bumps. I have not ridden 2 up so I can't say how it will do there. I will let you know as soon as I get her on the bike again (hopefully tomorrow).

Re:Low Budget Bar Hopper 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Just an update I finally won one of the Harley headlight tins on eBay. So it should be here in a few days and I will see how/if I can make it work.
Today was maintenance day. Changed it all - oil, trans, and flushed new brake fluid to the rear (the front was done when I replaced the line a few days ago).

I used Castrol 20W-50 in the motor w/ a Mobil 1 filter and royal purple in the trans. Not that these are my favorite brands, but it is what O'Reilly's had in stock. The Mobil 1 filter was a little pricey @ $12.00 but I figured by the time I drove all the way to WalMart it would come out the same. The royal purple was the only thing I found at O'reilly's that was GL-4 rated. I went after some Lucas, but it only had GL-5 rating on the back.

I am going to run it tomorrow to see if anything feels different.
It's good knowing everything is new!

Re:Low Budget Bar Hopper 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Well after much discussion and thought I have decided to sell this bike in order to give the new one I bought from Jreed my full attention and budget. Thanks to all who gave their input and I hope you guys will continue to give me input on the new project. If anyone is interested in this bike send me a PM. I did take the apes off to use on the new bike, I have found there are less ape fans out there than regular bars so I figured it will be easier to sell. Here is the bike as it is now...
