Greetings! newbe to this great site 2 Years, 6 Months ago
I’ve been riding for years, commuting to work 130 miles a day for the last 21 years. I bought my 2006 Midnight Star new from my local dealer in February 08 with zero miles, last week I hit 45,000. I purchased a complete 3 year maintenance package, well last month the dealer went out of business and took the last year and a half of my maint. package with them. While Googling for oil change info I came across this site. Needless to say I am very happy with the input and information on this board. The info I read about standard vs. synthetic oil, helped me to decide what was best for me.
I look forward to getting to know my follow riders and I will do my part to post feedback and post my input regarding my experiences while working on my bike.
Regards

bienvenidos!

if you had an official yamaha extended warranty, you don´t lose it if the dealer shuts. find another yam dealer nearby.

unclefester! I opted for the extended warranty when I got my 03' Wasted $$$. Learned more from the knowledge base here that any book Yami puts out ('course the book is a good baseline to familiarize yourself with the bike).
