I've always hated flat black on anything and everything, and I can't stand apes, but there's just something about the sissy bar, the particular amount of chrome, that seat, and the flat black and apes on this bike that just make it look mean and nasty. That is the best low buck and instant transformation I've ever seen. I think you should prep it really well and lay down a really nice flat black re-do (rattle can will come out nice if you're careful). That bike looks flatout badness. Don't change it!

It was another busy day and it is really starting to look good in my opinion. Tell me what you guys think...

Here she is on the lift looking kind of naked in the rear...

I got the front fender done and the whole front end detailed. The bike came with some chrome hub caps and caliper covers, but they were severely pitted. I sanded and sprayed them with the bedliner spray as well. I think it makes a nice little accent...

The bedliner spray works great and I must say gives it a really cool look. It is exactly what I had in mind for this bike.
I was very surprised at how well the rotors polished up. They look chrome.
I also got the side covers and the rear fender extension done, but can't install them just yet. The tank and rear fender are both going to need a little body work so I wanted to get the rest painted today. Mission accomplished!!!!

Now that you polished the rotors, you have to polish the fork lowers too.
Or we could swap tins and top trees.

Your killing me man ! They actually came close to being black today too, but I thought it might be too much. I am going to look for some chrome ones to swap out. I e-mailed that chrome god dude that was on here a while back, but he hasn't gotten back with me.

There not too bad to polish. I just did mine and it only took me a couple of days taking my time. But I also felt I had to remove all of the casting flash or whatever the heck it was. But man, is it worth it.

Wow, that is lookin' bitchin'! I really like the matte look of the finish, gives it an old school one-of-a-kind look. Great job so far, you are making some quick progress and can hardly wait to see the end result!
