Here you go:

The pictures don't do them justice. They are alot shinier in person and don't have that hazy look that the pictures are showing.

Very nice man! You planted the polishing seed (I don't know if I should thank you or curse you though) I have been in the garage for the last 4 hours polishing the outer lip and center section of the rear pulley. I am going to paint the spokes to match the bike. What a pain in the butt to polish something from scratch. The rotors on this bike were already polished at some point and they shined up quickly. That pulley has been a bear. Can I ask what your process is? I sanded the pulley down with some 400 grit to get the gray off and the metal exposed and then went to 600 then to 1000 then to 1500 then to rubbing compund then to Mother's metal polish. What a mission! Oh and all the sanding was by hand. I need to invest in some sort of orbital sander. Those legs look good though! Were you taking them apart for another reason or just for the polishing?

I have Doc and Tampa to blame for the poilshing curse.
I took the forks apart to rebuild them and cut the springs down, and then this way I could spin them in the lathe to speed things up a little. The back pulley does suck. I did the same thing with it on the outside lips, chuck it in the lathe and go. The spokes suck to get smooth. I started with the air grinder working on them and then gave up. I have to finish it yet, but that won't be until after Chritmas. To get everything prepped, I start with 220 dry, 400 dry, 600 dry then wet, 800 dry then wet, 1500 dry then wet, white polishing compound, red polishing compound and then aluminum polish on a rag.

I got a couple things done in the past couple days...

Lowered the rear

Detailed the rear...

Polished the rear pulley (outer lip and center section) and painted the spokes to match the bike

It was hard to get a picture to show how shiney it came out, but it did come out really nice. Anyways tomorrow the rear tire goes back on and the body work on the tank and rear fender begins.
