Really like the breather filter location... didn't realize there was THAT much room there.

I'm putting mine there next mod. Thanks!

I used to have my fuel pump and filter under the tank, when I had a fuel pump. I've got my breather filter below my air cleaner.

a couple guys have told me thats where they put theirs, but damn, it looks like it would be just as bad as the original position on the BAK. Looks like a straight downhill run which should allow the oil to keep flowing out of the filter.

can you tell me how the oil stays high, SMSgt?

I've got my breather right under my air cleaner also, and it never even gets moist with oil.

It is not like a syphon so down hill shouldn't make much difference, your only going to get what splashes into the hose, which isn't much if you follow the oil capacity that is recomended here.

well if that were true, then there would be no reason to change it....right

i realize it only "splashes" drops up the hose, but if the hose goes downward right away, then the splash will run down the hose to the filter.

again, i dont know how jamie is not getting any oil dripping.

I just used a piece of fuel line & ran it down by the battery box, right along side the vent tank hose & left it open ended and pointing towards the ground. Outta sight & works great.

Mine is attached to the rear horn mount, nice little chrome filter. I used fuel line to run down from the valve cover down the center tube in front of the battery and out to the side. Works great, out of the way and adds chrome Very minor potential for water to get in through the filter and down into your engine from the position under the tank and above the engine. That is why I like the down hill run nothing gets back up to the engine. Never much oil out so not really an issue.

i will tinker with it, but for now, it is staying. I spent a couple hours messin with it tryint to find the right spot and just got sick of it.

Looks good. I made a bracket and mounted mine just to the left of the air box. I clean it if it gets dirty with the recharge kit for my K&N.
