I'm trying to get together an an article (?) about the R*'s inherent problems and solutions by year (like the tranny situation in the 99 -03 recall/dealer fix or the SVS issue-seafoam/ream out in the 04's and up. Got an MS database started already so I'm just looking for other issues. Maybe it'll help the new members/potential buyers in their quest to find the best bike to fit their needs/wallet. Any ideas post'em here or send'em to greyphart@justice.com. Thanks.

Oil gear, fender frame, weak stator, weak front brakes, etc etc etc...the list just goes on an on .......  |

Know first hand about the rear fender issue. Oil gear affects the 99' to 02', weak front brakes compared to rear (all years?), SVS, butt busting seats, electrical issues, etc. Dang, what have I started?   Still want to collect and catagorize though. At least I'll have an idea. Gonna hit some other sites and go from there. Thanks FB.

I was just bein a smartazz, GP, I think the weaker front brakes are only the 1600's..and the SVS is more prevalent in the 1700's..just be glad it's not a toyota...! |
