Yo Rodies,
I have had my R* torn down end for end these past several months for upgrades, maintanance and cleanining. I was at a local motorcycle show and picked up a great product. I came across a vender that was peddaling his polishing product (I thought the usual snake oil routine). He was polishing the bottoms of pop cans with very little efort. I even tried it. It was very cool. Came out like chrome. To go along with this product was a sealer which when applied shed water just like wax on your car. I was sold. $20 for both 12oz bottles. I have been polishing and sealing every bit of chrome and billit during the re-assembly process. What really sold me was the vendor took my gold wedding ring and with very little effort made it look like new with no dulling or scratches. I continue to treat my ring monthly to this cool polish/sealer. The website is masterformulapolish.com if you are interested. I have gone over my entire bike and the bottles still feel full. You don't need much and it seems to go a long way. Just my 2 cents and opinion.

I generally take off windshield and wash, then dry with a leaf blower. S-100 detail & wax seems to work well for me on chrome and paint. Been wanting to try the S-100 engine clean. Maybe this spring. Annual motorcycle show this weekend in oklahoma city so i'll be looking for something new.

If your talking about Master's Formula, that stuff is the best polish I've ever used. Pulls the dirt and contaminant right out.really good stuff!

I don't wash anything on mine except the tires, and I guess the wheels, because they get wet with tires.
My personal preference is Meguiar's Quik Detailer for everyday use at home. For on the road cleaning I use Meguiar's
Detailer Mist & Wipe(comes in a smaller bottle). Spring and fall I use Meguiar's Liquid Wax Wet Look.
My bike does get wet on the road, more times than I care to think about, but I do too.
