Easy way to find out is go to a dealer sire and check the part #'s on both years that is what I do. Quick answer I just checked the left side is the same number, the right side is the same number but the first alpha characters are differant but might work.

Unless something changed I think the only place to get the nemesis coil is in Aus. I run the dyna and have no problems and have never heard of anyone having problems. ODO does explain it well and don't doubt him at all. I will say aftermarket coil seem to help the bike start easier in my opinion. I have never seen a side by side comparison. I would like to see the side by side just for interest sake. I spoke to dyna tech and they state it would be fine and agreed that nemesis was closer to the range and they are on the fringe.Ú When I say side by side I am say running function not statistical numbers.

Thanks Curt for the quick reply. The problem is the dealer haven’t got the stock coils for Roadstar, however he got it for V star 1300. Any idea if that would fit mine?
Currently I am still in the troubleshooting stage, once I come to know it’s a defaulted coils I would replace with nemesis or dyna, however need to try stock first before I go for performance coils (expensive too)
Cheers

I called dk powdercoating in the spring and was told that the nemesis coils can no longer be ordered; apparently those that have them are the lucky few that will ever have them.

You'd be better off to get Dyna coils. early stock coils were known for leakage and most had to wrap some high voltage tape around coils to stop it. The plug wires are built into the coil, so if a wire broke down, not an easy task to replace if at all even possible. Plug boot resistor are also known to go out of spec, most replaced them with a piece of copper wire. However, you can still use any stock coil from any year.
With dyna coils you can also use a higher grade plug wire and boot.
No more Nemesis coils unless someone has a used set to sell

thanks Erb, actually i was about to buy them after i found out that a lot of fellow bikers over here spoke highly of Dyna until i got caught by the following " Before selecting a coil, check the coil primary resistance requirements as specified by the manufacturer of the ignition being used. For breaker points ignitions use 5.0 ohm coils or 3.0 ohm coils with a 1 to 2 ohm ballast resistor in series with the +12 volt supply wire to the coil. Dynatek cannot be responsible for ignition or coil problems that result from using a coil of incorrect primary resistance with a particular ignition system""
as a newbie i found that hard to digest. can anyone make it simple

Here are a couple of videos you can watch on youtube. It the links don't work just do a search for dyan coils. These are a couple of installation videos, done by Maxair Engineering, that shows how easy it is to change coils. He gives the part number for the coils as DC4-1.
There are some DC4-1 coils for sale on ebay for $123.95.
