The problem with most ramps is you will bottom out at the peak. The best ramp I have ever used is the long arched ones. The one I have now is 7ft long and is in 3 pieces that hook together. If you have an area to load and unload where there is a little hill or dip you can back to then a flat ATV style is OK, if not an arched one is the only way to go. They are a little pricey, but the piece of mind is worth it. This is the one I have now.

Won't catch me trying to load my bike in my pickup. I have a Dodge Ram 1500 with 20 wheels and there is no way I want to haul my bike in the back. Heck for the price of some ramps you can buy a small trailer that sits a lot lower and is easy to load it on.

I have a 1500 RAM with 20 inch wheels and I found this ramp, it's a Big Boy Ultra Light Weight (68lbs). The web site has a calculator that lets you figure the length ramp you need based on your ground clearance of the bike, the height of the tailgate and the wheel base of the bike. It's three pcs aluminum and 40" wide so I can put my feet down. I can now take my bike and my camper. Life's good, can't wait for good weather.
