Is that why sometimes when I click on a thread the "new forum posts" box is shifted to the right covering a little of the thread area or is my computer just tripping out?

Alright not to sound ignorant but I need a little more info on this.
Under normal conditions I would go to the web site and then right click on the line up at the top.(see I don't know what's it's called)and then hit copy and would paste it in my message. So please tell me how you would do it from start to finish. I want to learn this please!

When you click on the "Reply Topic" button you get the screen where you can type into...
In that screen type in:

And, it will loook like this:
Roadstar Clinic
I added spaces to show the formatting but you don't need 'em...

Ok Danny don't know if you still need this, but here it gos. You can copy and paste the link just like you say.
When you want to add the short link in the reply box hit url at top [*url]
it shows up like the example minus the astrics. Now in the first brakcket put a = after url hit the paste almost there. Now right between the first set of bracket [*url=www.roadstar.com]what you want the link to say[/url] and when you are done it shows up like this what you want to say should bring you back to home page.

If you hover your cursor over the URL button it sorta shows you how to turn it into a hyperlink on the message bar below that toolbar.

My Yuku site and the site they use at my college have hyperlink buttons to create 'hyperlinks for dummies' without needing to actually figure it out.

I didn't realise my oil link was creating a problem as it wordwraps real good on my laptop, guess I'll make simple hyperlinks from now on. The thing I found with hyperlinks though is lots of PC-challenged didn't know to click on it, if it doesnt have http and www on the front.
Failing of course to notice that when their mouse was over a hyperlink, it made a pointy finger, instead of nothing happening with simple blue text.
"Gorsh Mickey, how come that text is blue instead of black?"
