Don't want to deviate too far

but I'm a fairly happy Emu at the moment.
Seeing the pics of wives and partners on here has got me thinking....dangerous territory, I know
When I met Mandy (wife) 35 years ago she didn't want anything to do with motorcycles. I guess I must have fell for her because I sold my bike at that time and didn't own one again until about 2 years ago.
Mandy's sister died from cancer a couple of years back and her sister's husband, reflecting back on the good times that they had when they were younger said they really both enjoyed their trips away on his motorcycle. He said that all the years together since then they'd worked hard and had forgotten how to really enjoy themselves. His pledge at that stage was to buy a HD and get back to having a life. I told him if he was going to get a motorcycle then I'd be doing likewise.
Although Mandy wasn't overjoyed with the prospect she said that if I was going to buy a bike then I'd need to get a new (reliable) one. Shortly after, I purchased the Road Star and have since added the Rocket III Touring to the stable.
Mandy started coming along on rides and couldn't have minded too much as she is now helping to organise the bike trips and social rides. Which brings me back to the point of all this....it's really good to be able to ride, relative freedoms, etc.....but it's really GREAT and SPECIAL to have someone share the passion with you.
I'm one happy and lucky Emu.....'living the dream'
