Me and the wife are going to be in Omaha at the end of April, and would love to rent a ride somewhere and get out of town for a ride. Two questions: Will it be too cold? and Where can we find a place to get a bike to rent for a day or two?

Should be plenty warm but heck with the weather you never know LOL! Not sure but do some checking on bike rentals since I am about an hour southwest of Omaha in Iowa. Why would you want to come up here and leave the sun and warmth for the weekend lol!

The weather should be fine. I haven't gotten the bike out yet this year...(supposed to snow this weekend). I live 10 mins south of Omaha (in Papillion, NE). As far as rentals, I'm not sure if they provide rentals, but you could try Dillion Brothers (HD dealership) or Powersports pro (all metric).

My son's AZ State Champion Academic Decathlon team is competing that weekend in the National Championships (he's the smart one in the family). We're flying in Thursday night, and we'll have Friday moring to ride, if I can get it figured out. Dillon's HD has rentals, but more that I wanted to drop for just a few hours that day.
If it happens, then great, if not, then no worries.

I rented an HD here a little over a year for an afternoon when I had an appointment cancel. Good people and a great show room full of old bikes. http://www.frontierhd.com/
actually as I think about it, it was about 2 1/2 years before I bought one. But you might check them out. They still list rentals on their website. |

frontier will rent HD $2800 down or credit card Think 200 day or 300 weekend have not lived there for 6 years and frontier is closer to Fremont Nebraska
