help 2 Years, 2 Months ago
This is my first post i don't know if i'am in the right spot or not. I have a 2007 midnight all stock that is burning oil out of the top exhaust i have changed the plugs have not yet changed the oil for the season but it did burn blue smoke before i changed the plugs, do you guys think it might be something with the air filter. which was not changed last year It was not burning oil when i put it up for the winter,I filled the tank and put in seafoam before winter, and other than the oil the bike starts right up and seems to run fine,And i can smell oil, the oil looks like it might be a little low but not much. The bike has 7700 miles on her ,shes still a baby.

Thank You in advance

How much oil did you put in it before you put it up for the winter. If you put more than 4 quarts then you put to much. You can't go by the maunual it is wrong. If you did overfill it drain the oil and only put 3 1/2 quarts back in unless you chage the filter. If you change the filter on put 4 quarts in it.

the hole is a moisture drain hole....just for ur info. I thought it was a rust hole on mine!!!!!!
I get a little "smoke" too out of both exhaust when choke is fully engaged......believe that may be a little fuel blowby, not sure but normal. I have a 2007 midnight too.
